"In Praise of the 'Weaker' Sex " ©

     Most museum visitors to this exhibition will be led to believe--when first seeing the exhibition title, "In Praise of the 'Weaker' Sex"-- that the exhibition title and cover art refer, stereotypically, to women and that the exhibition will be at best, a well-intentioned but misguided and patronizing tribute to women and--at worst--a demeaning confirmation of negative, or popular stereotypes of the limited capabilities and achievements of women in society.

     The exhibition, in reality, is nothing of the sort. It is neither a glorification nor a denigration of either gender but a humorous and deceptively complex visual and contextual statement affirming the equality of the sexes.
