The architectural scale model and sculptures for the “Remember” World
Peace Memorial were, first, publically previewed by Mr. Benjamin Mead,
a survivor of the Warsaw Ghetto uprising against the Nazis in World War II,
and Ms. Donna Haas, a daughter of Holocaust survivors. The artist, at Mr.
Mead’s request, designed tables to hold thousands of memorial candles for
the June 1981 World Gathering of Holocaust survivors in Israel.
