As one moves around the Memorial one experiences, through
the poses and expressions of the monumental bronze sculp-
tures, and the accompanying quotations from the Psalms,
emotions of hope for God’s love and protection, his good-
ness and mercy, conflicting feelings of despair and abandon-
ment, the crucial need for divine deliverance and protection
from evil men, a renewed faith in God, and a joyous feeling
of thanks for God’s strength and protection and his divine
gifts of spiritual redemption, renewal, and resurrection.
